Ravindra Jadeja climbed to the top of the all-rounder ICC Player Test leaderboard with a sparkling performance against Sri Lanka in the Opening Test in Mohali. The 33-year-old proved to be excellent with both stick and ball as India beat Sri Lanka in one half and 222 runs to take a 1-0 lead in a two-game series. After his all-out hype, the Sri Lankan team will have to be wary of Jadeja and his performance in Bengaluru will make them even more nervous.
In Bengaluru, Jadeja competed in three Tests and picked 17 wins, the third most for him at any venue.
Jadeja picked more players at a single location only in Mohali (27 players) and Delhi (19 players).
Through five innings of three matches, Jadeja has racked up a record of 58.3 overs in Bengaluru.
In those passes, Jadeja picked 17 clubs, including a 5-pointer line.
Jadeja’s average and attack rate at the venue are even more impressive. The all-rounder of India has maintained an average of 8.88 in Bengaluru and boasts a remarkable strike rate of 20.60.
Meanwhile, Jadeja’s shooting partner, Ravichandran Ashwin, played four games and picked up 23 catches.
However, Ashwin’s other bowling stats pale in comparison to Jadeja’s at this location. 35-year-old Ashwin bowled through seven innings of his four test matches in Bengaluru, totaling 145.2 rounds of bowling.

Ashwin’s 23 players include two five-stroke players. His bowling average in Bengaluru is 17.60 and his hit rate is 37.90.
With India looking to wipe out a two-match series with Sri Lanka by winning the Second Test in Bengaluru, both Jadeja and Ashwin will be central to India’s hopes.
