IND vs WI 2022, First T20 Live Score: Ravi Bishnoi trapped Roston Chase in front of the stick to pick up his first international baton and followed up by hitting back dangerous Rovman Powell in the same spot to put the West Indies in a tough spot. Yuzvendra Chahal had picked up Kyle Mayers’ important wicket earlier. Nicholas Pooran currently holds the keys to the Windies but he needs support from the other end. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was successful in the first round. Captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid will be looking at using this T20I series to find more options for the T20 World Cup scheduled to take place in Australia later this year. After wiping out the away team in a three-match ODI series, India now faces the West Indies. India will look to get the right group combination when they were faced with the dilemma of choosing for the series opening. The West Indies, on the other hand, hope to turn their fortunes around with a change of format and location. However, India are unbeaten in their last three T20I games at Eden Gardens, and have also lost only once at the venue in the shortest format of the game. With KL Rahul being dropped from the series due to injury, Rishabh Pant was appointed as a substitute lieutenant for three T20Is.
