Indian student reportedly shot in Ukraine’s capital Kyiv: Union minister VK Singh
An Indian student is believed to have been shot in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, Union Minister VK Singh told ANI news agency today.
According to the minister, the student was trying to escape from Kyiv and was wounded in the shooting.
He was taken back to the city and is in the hospital.
“We heard reports that a student leaving Kyiv was shot. He was brought back to Kyiv. This is happening in combat,” said General VK Singh.
General Singh was one of four ministers sent as special envoys to Ukraine’s neighbors to oversee the evacuation of Indians from war-torn Ukraine.
