India’s CCI buys 2 lakh cotton bales, Kapas nears MSP
India’s CCI has purchased 200,000 bales of cotton at the minimum support price this season, amidst a global slowdown in the textile industry.
Prices are close to MSP in many states.
CCI is active in nine states, buying unginned cotton at varying prices.
Despite selective purchasing, CCI’s actions are influencing market prices to stay above MSP.
