Inflation in Cambodia declines to lowest in nearly a decade: NBC
The average exchange rate of goods and services, or inflation, in Cambodia has dropped significantly, reaching 0.48% year-on-year (YoY) in May 2023, according to the latest statistics from National Bank of Cambodia (NBC). This significant decrease after increasing to 1.1% in April from 0.7% in March of the same year.
The inflation rate in May marked a nine-year low, according to NBC.
The average prices of six out of ten available goods and services rose in May. In contrast, the clothing and footwear industry saw a decrease of 2.14% YoY.
