Influencer launches crowdfunding to gift 50 armored vehicles to Ukraine
Ukrainian social media personality Serhiy Prytula launched a crowdfunding campaign to purchase 50 Spartan crawler armored personnel carriers for the Ukrainian Army.
In a statement posted on Twitter, Prytula said that it is raising $ 5.47 million to buy 50 British Spartan armored personnel carriers.
“In rainy and muddy conditions, APC is what our front units really need,” he added.

The campaign, organized by the non-profit Serhiy Prytula Charity Foundation, plans to reach its goal on November 8.

Formerly President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko conduct a similar campaign to buy a batch of Spartan cars.
The Spartan is a line of British-made combat vehicles, including the Fv 101 Scorpion, Fv 102 Striker, Fv 104 Samaritan, Fv 105 Sultan, Fv 106 Sampson and Fv 107 Scimitar.
Spartan is a small armored personnel carrier (APC), which can carry up to 7 people, including 3 crew members. It is therefore used to carry small specialized groups such as reconnaissance teams, air defense units, mortar fire controllers and ambush parties.
