Inside Naomi Judd’s fierce battle with mental health
In one of her interviews on O’Terry Candy‘s podcast Country music success story In 2020, Naomi talked about having her first daughter, Wynonnya, after she was “raped” by a soccer player when she was 18 years old.
“I got pregnant the first time I had sex,” Naomi said. “Three months later, when I called him to say I thought I was pregnant, he said, ‘Wow, that’s lucky,’ he hung up and we never heard from him.”
Four years later, Naomi said, she was beaten and raped by a drug-addicted ex-boyfriend who broke into her home.
“He slapped me in the face,” she shared. “He tortured me and he beat me badly, then he raped me and then he shot me heroin, and when he took the second dose of heroin he lost consciousness, so I gave him a shot. girls and go to the police station.”
