Brilliant blue (Into Mischief–Blue Violet, by make for curly) came to Letellier Memorial S. as the 1-2 favorite and ran at her odds, securing a second daytime score in two attempts to maintain an undefeated record. The Juddmonte runner — a $500,000 purchase as Keeneland aspiration in September from WinStar — jumped to the top under Florent Geroux after being hit by her inner rival in the gate and give way as she strode. She found it quickly and measured speed control during registration: 22.18 in the first quarter and half: 46.45. Bay cleared the lane for the commander win and took the lead as the previous three-time undefeated winner Condensation (blur) closed to track her three home debts.
