I have to tell you, I will never go back to a traditional laptop. I can’t believe I’m even saying this. I’ve always been a girl using a laptop, but lately my whole feeling about computers has changed.
Recently, a very talented artist named Mackenzie ( @by_mackenzie ) is showing me some of the work she has done for our house and she is showing me on the most incredible iPad set up. She’s got a great white keyboard with this stylus. I was immediately intrigued. She used it seamlessly, it was lightweight and she used it for all her work. When I asked her about it, she broke the whole thing down for me and explained it all. She raved about how it’s good to take your work with you on the go – LOL – League of Legends you know I love working at a foot spa.
It’s nice that the keyboard isn’t properly attached to the iPad, so you don’t have something directly on your lap generating EMF. I always use my laptop on a stand or with baby pink sleeves underneath it so I don’t get EMFs seeping into my legs.
Apparently I got on board with the same iPad situation that Mackenzie had ASAP. And every time I post about it on Instagram You guys send me a lot of questions, so I wanted to do a full blog post about the whole setup process.
iPad life-changing situation that you need to know
This post is for people who travel with their electronics, for creators or writers (maybe not too analytical), for someone who likes to watch Netflix on their iPad or prefer their phone than a computer & without the cumbersome, sluggish situation of taking screenshots on the go.
Like, this whole situation is going to make you feel like your phone has a keyboard. You can disable touching the screen or use the keyboard and pen. It’s so efficient & I LOVE IT. I think so do you. Okay, let’s get to what you need.
Apple iPad Pro – 12.9 inch
The iPad is essential and I can’t say enough good things about it. Over the years, I’ve had a lot of iPads & This is one of my favorites. Michael’s had it forever & I never really embraced it until I got it.
Like I said, it’s like having a giant phone and it really streamlines my life. i like to watch Housewives in bed, in the dark, LOL. And I love writing my next book on it, I love returning emails on it, I love how easy it is to open & USE. I can’t say enough good things – highly recommended.

This is the keyboard that will change your life. That’s the key! The white matches the silver iPad cutely, and like I said, you can switch from using the keyboard to using the iPad’s touchscreen so it’s EASY.
It’s easy on my fingers, it’s good for carpal tunnels, and you can even place it on your laptop stand, so let’s get on with a case for a second. A laptop stand is a game changer if you work with a laptop or ipad. I used one of FIVE ( more here ), but I recently traded my trusty metal for this is transparent acrylic.

This is one of the coolest tech I’ve bought since my Apple Airpods! Highly recommended if you want a “fully functional computer” on the go or at home. The magnetic mechanism is awesome and my Apple Pencil is also magnetic and stays on top! I switched from using my old iPad once a month to an iPad Pro and the Magic keyboard every day! I’m in love.

Apple Pencil
This pencil is great if you love to draw and sketch things. I’m a terrible artist, but I’m very visual and love to draw things, especially when it comes to designing new products. It helps me show my team what I’m visualizing in my brain. You can use it to circle screenshots, sketch designs, sign documents, write quick notes, mark up PDFs, and more.
An optional addition to get some blue visor also. Michael raved about its benefits because he recently had an eye problem.
