Jared Anderson extends knockout streak to 11
Another fight, a knockout.
Jared Anderson, a 22-year-old promising heavyweight, maintained his stoppage streak by knocking out Oleksandr Teslenko at 1:33 of Round 2 in a scheduled eight-round bout on the Vasiliy Lomachenko card- Richard Commey on Saturday in New York.
Anderson knocked out all 11 of his opponents.
The Toldeo, Ohio product, fought hard from the opening bell, perhaps a little recklessly. He landed some powerful shots but so did his Ukrainian opponent.
Anderson had an attack in the second half when he delivered a left-right stab to the temple that sent Teslenko down and injured him.
Teslenko, clearly struggling, was able to stand on point nine but the referee determined he was no longer eligible to continue and stopped the game.
In the lower division, 19-year-old young middleweight prospect Xander Zayas of Puerto Rico (12-0.9 KOs) stopped Italy’s Alessio Mastronunzio (9-2, 3 KOs) in the first round of a six-round bout Scheduled.
And Olympic silver medalist Keyshawn Davis (4-0, 3 KOs) of Norfolk, Virginia, knocked Mexico’s Jose Zaragoza (8-4-1, 2 KOs) twice and stopped him at 2: 51 of the 2nd round of the scheduled six match. – Round bout weight welding base.
