Jermall Charlo predicts Crawford vs. Porter Boxing News 24
Via Matt Lieberman: Jermall Charlo is picking Shawn Porter to take out WBO welterweight champion Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford this Saturday night, November 20, at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas.
WBC middleweight champion Charlo said he’s picking former IBF/WBC 147-lb champion Porter (31-3-1, 17 KOs) to win on Saturday because Crawford said something about him his brother Jermell, which is an unusual reason to turn against him.
Former IBF lightweight champion Regis Prograis said he will face Crawford (37-0, 28 KOs) to win. Picking Crawford was a safe bet, as he is a betting lover and most boxing fans believe he would be too good for Porter.
What baffled the 33-year-old was how badly Porter looked in his controversial 12th round decisive win over Yordenis Ugas in March 2019.
Most people who witnessed that fight assumed that Ugas won easily, and that’s who Crawford is likely to defeat.
In Porter’s next match, he lost to Errol Spence Jr. according to the decision to divide the 12th round in September 2019.
Porter won the final match against fringe candidate Sebastian Formella last August, but it was a year and a half against a weak fringe candidate.
Charlo picks Porter in the final round
Jermall Charlo: “What do you want to say to your fans? What will Bud Crawford do?
Regis program: “Oh, Bud will win,” Regis Prograis said as he picked Crawford to beat Porter. ”
Jermall Charlo: “Will Bud win?
Program: “He’s going to win.”
Jermall: Jermall Charlo said on social media: “I met Porter in the late rounds. “No, Bud was talking nonsense about my brother, so I didn’t tell anyone about anyone.”
Program: “But we talked before and you said you don’t gamble with emotions. How do you make bread? ”
Jermall: “I made half a million dollars this year thanks to your stupid a** warriors. They already know I’m rich. It’s not important. Regis, who do you have? He didn’t want to mention anyone’s name because he was afraid of Porter. He got Bud because he was afraid of Porter.”
Program: “I’m not afraid of anyone.”
Jermall: “He’d better not go to 154. Hey Mel. Look what he looks like. Look at him. “
Program: “F***y’all, what about?”
Josh Taylor predicts Crawford vs. Porter
Josh Taylor said: “Porter was a night of terror for anyone whose style was so raw and under constant pressure. Fighthype in the fight between Crawford vs. Porter.
“He [Porter] move forward, sit on your chest and just hit you every now and then. So he was a very difficult night for anyone.
“I believe there will be difficult moments in that fight and Shawn Porter will reap a lot of success.
“Ultimately, I think the brains and IQ of the boxer will show up in the late game and Crawford will probably come out on top at the end of the match I imagine. It’s a big fight, but anything can happen in boxing.
“It was a really fun fight but if I were a bettor I would probably put my money in Crawford to win points,” Josh Taylor said.
