Jet Airways is allowed to fly again; Commercial flights resume

India’s Jet Airways on Friday said the country’s aviation regulator had given it permission to resume commercial flights.
Once India’s largest privately owned airline, Jet stopped flying in April 2019 after running out of cash, owed billions of dollars to lenders and left thousands without jobs.
Mr. Jet said that the issuance of the certificate of aviation operator by the General Department of Civil Aviation “is the final step in a comprehensive management and compliance process involving a number of operational readiness checks of the airline. Airlines.”
