Joe Morris Named Jockeys and Jeans Ambassador
Jockeys and Jeans, a volunteer group dedicated to raising funds for the Permanently Disability Jockeys Foundation (PDJF), has appointed Racing Vice President Joe Morris of Caesars Entertainment Inc. Official Jockeys and Jeans Ambassador. In this role, Morris will advocate for financial assistance to injured jockeys, know the inherent dangers of racing, and assist in the rehabilitation of riders.
Barry Pearl, President of Jockeys and Jeans, said: “It is difficult to put into context what this level of engagement means for the underdogs of equestrianism. “It’s not just about responding to a huge human need and wanting to make a difference. It was recognition by the leaders of another major corporation that supporting injured former riders was one of the most important activities in the entire equestrian industry, and Morris was known first-hand as one of the sport’s most successful operators. “
Morris added, “The importance of the safety and well-being of people and our equestrian athletes is of paramount importance. At Caesars, we believe that everyone in our industry should actively support our fallen racers financially, and we are honored to take on a leadership role alongside the Jockeys and Jeans to support the PDFF and our riders with disabilities. ”
