Jonathan Abon and Jordan Gremli join Utopia Music in VP Product roles

Jonathan Abon has been named Vice President of Product, Distribution Services, at Swiss music fintech company Utopia Music.

Jordan Gremli has also been hired as VP of Product, Service for Creators.

Utopia says Abon and Gremli are product leaders with extensive experience in music and technology.

Both will report to Nicholas Goubert, Product Manager.

Abon has over two decades of experience in technology-driven products and joined HERE Technologies, a placement platform company, where he was VP of Product, Platform Organization.

At HERE Technologies, Abon helped build a platform focused on global location, combining development and market environments used by customers in the automotive, transportation and logistics, supply chain markets infrastructure planning and application.

Gremli, from Berlin, will lead the product organization for Utopia’s Creator Services Business Unit.

He joined from the ticketing platform DICE where he is Vice President, Artist Development, responsible for creating and managing all artist-centric programs and productions on the DICE platform, including live streaming and merchandise.

Before DICE, Gremli spent almost eight years at Spotifywhere he helped launch and manage ‘Fans First’, a program that helps artists grow their fan bases.

Gremli also played a role in the launch of the first version of Spotify for artists.

He also served as Head of Artistic Programming & Content at Sofar Sounds and Program Director at SiriusXM Radio.

Utopia started in 2022 with a series of corporate acquisitions.

In JanuaryThe company has expanded into physical and digital music distribution by acquiring UK-based distributor Right Music Group.

Above February 3Utopia acquires music publisher and publishing management company based in Liverpool Music group Sentric.

Later that month (February 22), UK-based distribution and service provider Absolute Label Service also come under the umbrella of Utopia.

The company also recently named Christine Pepe as its Vice President, Business and Legal.Worldwide music business
