Julie & Julia: How Julie Powell Feels About Amy Adams’ Take
Amy Adams didn’t follow exactly one recipe when wearing Julie Powell come alive on the big screen.
Food blogger “Julie / Julia Project” passed away on October 26 from cardiac arrest, each New York Times. At 49, she left a legacy that includes the blog itself, a published book titled Julie & Julia: 365 days, 524 recipes, 1 kitchenette in the apartment and the 2009 movie Julie & Juliawhere Amy plays Julie in her journey to cook all 524 recipes in Julia Childher cookbook — and blog her way about it.
As Amy shared in an interview for the movieThere are a number of characteristics that drew her to the role of Julie.
“It’s a strong character but also completely flawed, cranky and selfish, both loving and confused,” Amy said at the time. “She’s a very well-architected character.”
But as Julie revealed in her honest review of the film, she doesn’t feel her screen adaptation is 100% accurate. In a 2008 post shared on Julie’s blog “What could happen?,” she gave readers her thoughts after watching a pre-release preview.
