Kate Middleton’s latest Christmas show looks like a secret tribute to the Queen? Find out

Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, has a pretty enviable wardrobe. Every time she steps out, she allows her outfits to be fresh – maybe that’s motivating Sustainability in fashion, or make sure she nods tactfully to family members.
This time, she tries to make the Queen – Prince William’s grandmother – feel special.
During her recent public engagement, Kate looked picture-perfect in a special red Catherine Walker Christmas dress. It was part of a Christmas carol concert on Wednesday at Westminster Abbey, which was filled with music, decorations and cheers, general happiness.
The Duchess’ dress features a bow detail, and she comes with a pair of sapphire and diamond tassel earrings believed to be from the collection of the bride’s paternal grandmother Queen Elizabeth. The earrings were once owned by the Queen’s mother – Empress Dowager Gu, who died in 2002, aged 101 years.
ONE Everyone The report mentions that Kate has also worn the earrings on a few other occasions. This week, she hosted Royal Carols: Together At Christmas event at Westminster Abbey to pay tribute to those who have served during the pandemic.
The Duchess was joined by her husband the Duke of Cambridge, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, among other members of the royal family.
Interestingly, the Queen, apparently impressed by her granddaughter-in-law’s efforts to organize the holiday event, offered to support her by donating a Christmas tree from Windsor Great Park to help decorate the Abbey.
