Kelsey Grammer Explains Why Frasier Reboot Is Boston-Bound
Frasier Crane is coming to Boston on a mission.
The Coming soon Paramount+ Frasier restart-with Kelsey grammar reprise his role of Frasier—to take place in Boston, the same city where viewers are introduced to Frasier ABOVE Congratulations back to 1984.
Grammer—who plays Frasier on Congratulations from 1984 to 1993 before starring in the character’s spin-off from 1993 to 2004—revealed on Today on February 15 that “we’ve already fired two shots” and he explained why Frasier returned to Beantown after all these years.
“Frasier is going back to Boston to put himself back in a place where he doesn’t feel like he’s done with it, where he left with a little tail between his legs,” Grammer told the host. Hoda Kotb And Jenna Bush Hager. “He wanted to feel like he’d conquered it again. He had high hopes for Boston in his life. Fallen in love, fell in love again, divorced, had kids.”
Grammer continued, “There’s a lot going on in his life. It’s driving him home.”
