Kentucky Sires Part of the Stallion Season Auction in Ohio
The Ohio Purebred Breeders and Owners Association announced on December 2 their annual Stallion Season Auction.
Preview begins Friday and bidding runs from December 8-9. Details and a complete list of stallions offered can be found on Starquine.com and on the OTBO website, www.otbo.com. Bidding opens on December 8 and continues until 9 p.m. ET on December 9.
The over 120 studs included will appeal to breeders of all types — from those looking for commercial opportunities to those managing crossbreeding operations.
Participating in the auction were top Kentucky stallions from Airdrie Stud, Buck Pond, Calumet, Claiborne, 13 from Darby Dan, Darley, Gainesway, Lane’s End, Spendthrift, WinStar, and many more. Top stallions represented include West Bank , Dialed , Game winner , Karakontie , alternate , Creative cause , Keen Ice and a host of others, including Tapiture , Union Rags , Protonico , and Tapwrit .
Quality Indiana stallions (from Breakway, Indiana Stallion Station, and Swifty Farms); New York (Sequel, QuestRoyal North, Rockridge Stud, etc.); Maryland (Anchor and Hope), Pennsylvania, and West Virginia are also available to bid. More stallions will be replenished daily until the sale start date of 8 December.
Top studs in Ohio from Poplar Creek Horse Center, Raimonde Ranch, Blazing Pasture, Duncan Ranch and others are also well represented, a stallion group that includes Twinspired (standing at Poplar Creek Horse Center).
