Kingdom Hearts 4’s Graphics Power ‘Limited Type’ to the Number of Worlds Disney Can Include
Disney World has been a major part of the beloved Kingdom Hearts series since the first game was released in 2002. According to a new interview with game director Tetsuya Nomura at Game informantFans of that magical, nostalgic world may see them less often in Kingdom Hearts 4 due to graphics limitations.
However, fans of those Disney-based worlds shouldn’t worry. Nomura confirmed “players will definitely see a few Disney worlds in it” and fans “don’t need to worry” about their inclusion.
He went on to say that Kingdom Hearts 4 “Can feel a bit different from previous Kingdom Hearts titles.” We have received take a look at the upcoming game, and it shows Sora in a world called Quadratum that closely resembles our own. It is definitely a departure from the more fantasy-based worlds of the first three seasons and their various side stories.
“In terms of graphic quality… because with each new title the specs have really increased and we can do so much more graphically, it limits the number of worlds that we can have. createable in a sense,” explains Nomura.
It’s safe to say we’ll see a mix of Disney worlds and new areas. Earlier this year, Nomura teased that Quadratum is like an “afterlife” and not the real world despite real-life locations like Shibuya.
In the trailer revealed in April, some eagle-eyed fans noticed the legs of an AT-ST from the Star Wars series in a jungle setting. This led many to speculate that Sora, Donald, and Goofy might take a risk with Endor. If so, it would be the first time the Disney franchise has been included in the hit series.
