CHARLOTTE, NC – NASCAR Champion Kyle Larson signed a three-year contract extension through 2026 with Hendrick Motorsports, who welcomed him back last season after being suspended for almost a year.
The extension announced Friday includes sponsor HendrickCars.com, which will sponsor the Chevrolet #5 for 35 races per season. Larson’s renewal and the grant renewal occurred concurrently. The original agreement to have HendrickCars.com become the main sponsor of Larson was announced last July when Rick HendrickIts online car website drew a spike in traffic whenever it was featured on Larson’s car.
30-year-old Larson was suspended for most of 2020 for using a racial slur and lost his job with Chip Ganassi Racing. Hendrick married him when the suspension was lifted, and Larson won 10 races last season and his first Cup title.

The site’s highest-traffic days for 2022 are linked to NASCAR-related initiatives, and the company has also used Larson as a spokesperson for the company’s social responsibility programs. .
Larson advanced into Saturday night’s knockout playoff race at Bristol Motor Speedway, placing eighth in the standings. The last four riders in the 16-driver field will be eliminated on Saturday night.
