Last Call: Dodge Celebrates the Last Challenger and Charger Run with Seven Special Models | Daily Drive | Consumer Guide® The Daily Drive
The window on the modern muscle car era continues to close as the 2023 model year will be the final window for the Dodge Challenger and Charger. Parent company Stellantis recently announced that these cars will receive seven special builds over the next 14 months.
Among the swan song models available for both the two-door Challenger and the four-door Charger will be “Shakedown”, “Super Bee” and “Swinger”. Reports suggest 1,000 of those will be built and split between the Scat Pack and Scat Pack Widebody variants. An additional 300 versions of the Challenger “Black Ghost” and Charger King Daytona “Go Mango” will be available based on the Hellcat Redeye Widebody. Speaking of Hellcat, every 2023 model will offer Jailbreak specs, which push its supercharged 6.2-liter V8 up to 807 horsepower. All 2023 Challengers and Chargers will include a “Last Call” commemorative plaque, with the R/T grades adding a badge referring to its 345cc engine. Classic paint colors including “B5 Blue”, “Destroyer Gray”, “Plum Crazy” and “Sublime” will be available for the last time.

To help ensure that anyone who wants one of these swan models can get one, Dodge has released the full 2023 allocation to dealers. Potential customers can search “23rd Horsepower Locator Dodge” to see exactly what models are available to order at every location. The system is designed to prevent unscrupulous dealers from taking deposits for cars they won’t eventually receive. Note that you cannot order or place any money online – you must contact the agent directly. Furthermore, Dodge has no control over which stores will sell these vehicles with the MSRP add-on branding. We can all guarantee that the most desirable specs will carry a price tag above the sticker.
