It’s been a minute since I had to do some design! Surely those of you who have been following me for a long time will remember my clothing line, ILY Couture. I actually started ILY before I started my blog. At first it started after I made my own wedding hair samples and started selling them, then I created our favorite ‘wife’ style shirt, then when I was pregnant with Beckham, it was the coat. Preggers and then all of our mom’s samples. I really enjoy having my own line and being able to be creative and basically also source or create works that I want that I can’t find anywhere else.
As my blogging and influencer background grew, I felt torn in different directions – between ILY, blogging, and trying to be present with kids and families, I felt like I was being too viral. thin.
I found myself more passionate about creating content and connecting with my community. I have always believed in following your passion, and although at the time Ily was more of a steady job than an influencer, I just fell in love with the influencer more. It’s sad when everything we’ve built comes to an end, but even years later, I still feel like I made the right decision.
One of the things I miss most about Ily is the creative side and the ability to basically design or create pieces that I could perfectly picture in my head but couldn’t find anywhere else. other to buy.
So when Amazon contacted them about the opportunity to do a Drop collection with them, I was so excited! It was the perfect opportunity to soothe that itch and maybe design a few new pieces that I felt were missing from my wardrobe. And the icing on the cake – I have to make a collection for the fall!! My absolute favorite style season. I’m so excited about how the prints and pieces come together! I have shared some sneak peeks on instagram here, here and here.
