Leading experts head to Cotton Collective 2023 in Australia
Other speakers include Professor Richard Eckard, director of the Center for Primary Industries Climate Challenges at the University of Melbourne. His research focuses on carbon farming and takes into account carbon neutral agriculture, the management of extreme climate events and options for agriculture to respond to climate change, Cotton Australia said.
Cotton Australia’s Cotton Collective, starting 1 August 2023, will host a number of global professionals. The keynote speaker, rugby legend Shane Webcke, will discuss farm and workplace safety at the event. Professors Richard Eckard, focus on carbon-neutral agriculture and climate resilience, and Beau Stephenson, SVP at Omnicotton, were also featured speakers.
Other featured speakers included Beau Stephenson, senior vice president of Omnicotton Inc, where he is responsible for overseeing the company’s U.S. marketing and location.

The event will include an opt-in bus tour of sites around Toowoomba of interest to the cotton industry.
