Lenoir-Rhyne University supporter Omari Alexander killed in Hickory, North Carolina
Omari Alexander, a sophomore support worker at Lenoir-Rhyne University, was killed in Hickory, North Carolina, the school announced Saturday.
Alexander was found in the driver’s seat of a car outside an apartment complex, with multiple gunshot wounds, according to WCCB. The television station reported that police responded to reports of shots being fired around 1 a.m. and Alexander died at the scene.
Alexander is from Charlotte and attended Mallard Creek High School.
A message left for the Hickory police department was not immediately returned.
