‘Letting go of Ukraine’: Gigi Hadid pledges to donate hard-earned money to help those affected by Russia’s invasion
In recent times, many celebrities have voiced their support Ukraine, which has been under attack by Russian troops for several days now. With people fleeing the country and news of loss of life and property appearing every day, it has led to a lot of worry and concern.

Amid all this, people living elsewhere are also fulfilling their professional commitments. Supermodel Gigi Hadid – who, over the past few weeks, has been walking the runway for fall 2022 shows in the fashion capitals of the world – shared his thoughts on it.
She wrote an emotional message on Instagram that read: “Having a set Fashion Month schedule means that my colleagues and I often release new fashion collections during the week. sad and painful times in history. We don’t have control over most of our work schedules, but we do want to walk ‘for’ something. “
The 26-year-old said she would “follow in the footsteps of ” [her] friend Mica Argañaraz” and “committed to contribute” [her] income from Autumn 2022 shown to support those affected by war Ukraineas well as continuing to support those who are going through the same thing in Palestine.”
“Our eyes and hearts must be open to all human injustice. May we all consider each other as brothers and sisters, outside of politics, outside of race, outside of religion. At the end of the day, it is innocent lives that pay the price of war – not leaders,” she wrote.
The mother of one child concluded by writing, “HANDS OFF UKRAINE. TURN OFF PALESTINE. PEACE. PEACE. PEACE.”

A few days ago, her sister Bella Hadid opened up about feeling “‘extremely strange to be walking in fashion shows'”. The 25-year-old has also extended her support to Argañaraz, who announced that she will be donating a portion of her fashion week earnings to Ukrainian organizations.
The Palestinian and Dutch supermodel, took to Instagram herself to write, “You said it @micaarganaraz. We have many friends, colleagues, Ukrainian models, production, casting and to see the lack of information/knowledge about a war settling down is very sad. ”
“Walking in fashion shows is our job, especially in a time like this. I force people in our industry to do their research and have open conversations about the hell going on next door. “
