Lexus brings sea-crossing SUVs and 600 HP IS to SEMA

It’s a virtual world these days, and auto shows seem to get less attention from automakers with each passing year, but SEMA is a notable exception. The aftermarket is a great place for car companies to showcase their products in new ways, and Lexus is poised to do just that with these six unique builds for SEMA 2022. The creations vary in entry. purpose and style, from a 600hp Lexus IS concept powered by a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 to the GX460 concept built to withstand serious sea voyages. Not your IS350 neighborhood: Dsport IS600 +

The IS600+ concept is based on the IS350 F Sport but now produces more than 600 horsepower through the 3.5-liter twin-turbo six-cylinder it picked up from an LS500. Or at least it will when filled with E85 fuel.

A custom four-point coil cage has been incorporated to increase chassis rigidity as well as allowing for KW coil upgrades. Carbon-ceramic brakes from the RC F were added, while the rear seats were removed, and the hood and trunk were replaced with a carbon version from Seibon.

The front seats are replaced with Sparco seats and straps to save weight and connect more securely to the vehicle.

Pavement Queen: LX600 Urban Concept

Built by Annex Marketing to fill the evergreen market held by people who live in urban environments but want an off-road capable vehicle only in case. We understand. We are such people. This particular LX600 has both the body kit and exhaust system from Artisan Spirits. Braking is handled by 8-piston Brembo front brakes, while the Satin Bronze HRE wheels are wrapped in 285/40R-24 Proxes ST III all-season tires.

Bigfoot Hunter: LX600 Alpine Lifestyle Concept

Is Lexus partnering with Adorable Snowman? Not necessarily. It has partnered with Hiraku to add things like the “Modular Off-Road Armor System” 10-gauge “Dissent”, carbon on the fenders and Rigid Industries lighting, among others. . Lexus also partnered with outdoor brand Yeti to add items including LoadOut GoBoxes, Tundra coolers, and Trailhead camping chairs (pictured above). We would love this one for our next Bigfoot hunting expedition.

Overlander: Cruiser Outfitters GX460 Overland Concept

Built by Cruiser Outfitters and based on the GX460 Blackline Edition 2022, the GX460 Overland concept is ready to conquer the unknown. The Overland concept features a self-healing winch from Warn and Toyo Open Country MT 275/65R-18 tires, which should be enough to get out of most awkward situations. A 40-inch Rigid Radiance light bar shines from the front, while a 20-inch bar illuminates from the grille. The skids, roof racks and kickstand guards are all from CBI Offroad, and the suspension has been upgraded by Old Man Emu to increase ground clearance and increase wheel weight.

Serious outflows require serious storage solutions. The GX460 has that. The roof rack provides a space for a rooftop tent as well as a small amount of additional storage. What doesn’t fit on top will find its way into the Goose Gear drawer or somewhere between the ARB compressor, the traction board, the recovery device, the Air Down, and the fridge/freezer. Not to mention the built-in Kaon kitchen system right behind the Overland model, complete with drop-down table and tableware.

Violet Metallic: RX500h F Sport

What makes this SEMA a vehicle is primarily the Matte Violet Metallic finish, which Lexus calls “eye-catching” in a feat of engineering. The RX for SEMA also gets 22-inch Rays wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport tires. The RX500h F Sport is the flagship performance model of RX series 2023 revealed earlier this year.

Future-oriented: Lexus Electrified Sport

The Lexus Electrified Sport is the SEMA concept that prepares the future. Created by the California automaker’s Calty design outpost, the electric Lexus is envisioned as (probably) featuring a solid-state battery, 430-mile range, and the ability to hit 60 mph in “range” vi is two seconds low”. It also looks good.
