Lexus will bring a plug-in hybrid version of it New RX SUV to Australia… but exactly when is unclear.
The RX450h+ plug-in hybrid (PHEV) was launched with the rest of the lineup in June 2022 and is now offered in overseas markets such as the United States. However, it is not part of the launch range for Australia.

Maximum power is 237kW and Lexus does not report maximum torque value. Same powertrain features in the smaller NX450h+ plug-in hybrid.
When it launches, the RX PHEV will use plug-in hybrid versions of the BMW X5 and X3with Audi Q5.
Along with plug-in hybrids, Lexus is preparing to expand its electric vehicle range downwards. An updated version of SUV UX300e is on its way to mid-year, and Bigger RZ SUV will land locally in May.
It’s part of a plan to have 80 percent of Lexus sales use some form of electric power – be it hybrid, plug-in hybrid or all-electric powertrain – by 2025. 50% of Lexus sales in Australia will be electrified by 2023.
