LIC Initial Public Offer is registered 1.65 times on Wednesday release date

The Initial Public Offering (IPO) of Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) was registered 1.65 times on registration Wednesday on Saturday, May 7, 2022.
The public issue is registered 1.45 times in the retail portfolio, 1.08 times in the non-institutional investor portfolio, while employee shares are registered as much as 3.54 times. Policyholder shares have been heavily registered 4.65 times, qualified institutional buyer (QIB) shares though are only registered 0.67 times.
The IPO is open for registration even tomorrow, that is, on Sunday (May 8, 2022). However, All India Association of Bankers (AIBOC) has opposed the opening of all branches designated by Blocked Amounts (ASBA) Apps Supported by Blocked Amounts (ASBA) on Sunday, said that the decision of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) does not serve any purpose as most applications are filed digitally.
Most branches are rapidly digitized by ASBA.
Government of India will sell 3.5% or 22.13 crore shares through LIC offering. More than Rs 5,600 crore was raised from the anchor book on May 2nd.
The IPO opened registration on May 4 for retail and other investors and will close on May 9.
