LIV Golf London sights, sounds and leaderboards from Day 3
After many months speculation and controversyThe final round of the inaugural LIV Golf Invitational Series is complete.
Charl Schwartzel led through Day 1 and never gave up, staving off challenges from teammates and fellow South Africans Hennie Du Plessis on Saturday in London. Schwartzel finished the tournament with 7 under, while Du Plessis was just behind him with 6 below. Schwartzel will ask prizes of more than 4 million dollars for his efforts. Dustin Johnson in eighth place with 1 under, while Phil Mickelson over 10 and tied for 33rd.
The PGA Tour announced Thursday that it has prohibit 17 members were then competing in the event. Players who compete in LIV events are not eligible for the PGA Tour or any other tour it penalizes. Players participating in future LIV Golf events will face similar disciplinary action.
