Mamata Banerjee has written to opposition leaders around the country expressing “deep concern” about what she alleges are central agencies being misused by the ruling BJP to target opponents, and called a meeting to discuss a “way forward”.
The Bengali minister said, in a letter on Sunday, that the BJP government at the Center had been using the central authorities to target political opponents “just as the elections were coming up”. anywhere in the country.

The letter comes one day her grandson, MP Abhishek Banerjee of the Trinamool Parliament, sought more time from the Department of Enforcement (ED), which summoned him today in a coal fraud case. .
“Central agencies such as the ED, CBI, Central Committee of Vigilance (CVC) and the Income Tax Department are being used to target, harass and corner political opponents across the country for their suppliers. grant,” Mamata Banerjee wrote in the letter.

The minister also alleged that people “didn’t get justice” because of “biased political interventions”.

Ms Banerjee added: “As opposition parties, it is our constitutional responsibility to hold this government accountable for its actions, to counter the advocacy voices of the goblins who are fighting. suffocating”.
