Man United negotiates with the Premier League about the postponement of Brentford due to the COVID-19 case
Manchester United are in discussions with the Premier League about postponing their match with Brentford after the club was forced to close their training ground due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
United closed their Carrington training facility on Monday after confirming positive coronavirus cases following PCR testing.

A statement released by United on Monday read: “Manchester United can confirm that following the confirmation of PCR testing of positive cases for LFT COVID-19 yesterday among staff and players, of the first team, the decision was made to close first team operations at the Carrington Training Complex for 24 hours, to minimize the risk of further infection.
“Individuals who have tested positive are being isolated in accordance with Premier League protocols. Due to the cancellation of training and squad disruptions, and prioritizing the health of players and staff, the club and are discussing with the Premier League whether it is safe for Tuesday’s game Brentford continues, both from the COVID infection and from a player’s preparedness standpoint.
“Team and staff travel to London will be postponed pending the outcome of that discussion.”
