Mango Dal To Biriyani: PM Modi enjoys Telegana delicacies in Hyderabad
India is a land of diversity and so is its food. Each region of the country has a unique array of cuisines to offer. And we love exploring them all. Prime Minister Narendra Modi seems to be too. During his recent trip to Hyderabad, Prime Minister Modi sampled some regional delicacies. He joined Home Minister Amit Shah and several other political leaders for a two-day meeting of the BJP national executive committee (held in Hyderabad). As PTI reports, “Although the meeting delegates received 5-star hospitality for the past two days, Telangana BJP chose to introduce them to specialized Telangana dishes, BJP sources said. .”
Reportedly, chef G Yadamma from Telangana’s Karimnagar district was tasked with preparing family-style regional menus for the leaders. Yadamma led a six-member team that prepared up to 50 different dishes to entertain Prime Minister Modi and others. According to a BJP press release, “In addition to the items served for lunch, even snacks, sweets and desserts are prepared in Telangana style.”
