Marcus Wise named Chief Executive Officer for Europe at Wise Music Group
Independent music company Wise Music Group has appointed Marcus Wise as CEO for Europe.
He will lead the group’s music publishing and record company interests across the continent immediately.
Formerly Head of Global Communications, overseeing Wise Music Creative divisions around the world, Marcus will continue to work in London in his new role.
Dave Holley moves into a new role as CEO of Wise Music Group, also based in London.
Wise Music Group says it owns or controls nearly half a million copyrights.
The company has offices in London, New York, Los Angeles, Sydney, Copenhagen, Bergamo, Madrid, Paris, Milan, Tokyo and Berlin.
The Wise Music Group represents composers including Volker Bertelmann (Hauschka), Ólafur Arnalds, Hania Rani, Ludovico Einaudi, Philip Glass, Joby Talbot, Igor Stravinsky, Francis Poulenc, Olivier Messiaen, Jean Sibelius, Hans Abrahamsen, Anna Thorvaldsdottir , Missy Mazzoli, Kaija Saariaho, Samuel Barber and Tan Dun.
The company’s publishers and imprints include some of the most famous names in music history including Chester Music, G. Schirmer, Associated Music Publishers, Novello & Co, Éditions Alphonse Leduc, Première Music, Le Chant du Monde, Edition Wilhelm Hansen, Unión Musical Ediciones, Bosworth Music GmbH, and Campbell Connelly.
