Suarez, 32, will give the Diamondbacks another power bat in the middle of the lineup. In 2023 he appeared in all 162 games for the Mariners and hit 22 home runs and collected 96 RBIs with a .714 OPS.
Suarez is owed $11 million in 2024 and has a club option worth $15 million for 2025. He fills one of the few holes on a Diamondbacks team that went to the World Series, with Evan Longoria and Emmanuel Rivera sharing third-base responsibilities in the playoffs.
Zavala is a four-year MLB veteran who split last season with the White Sox and Diamondbacks. Vargas made his MLB debut in 2023 with five relief appearances for the Diamondbacks.
