Last month Nintendo announced that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will have 48 new tracks in 2023 and songs will be released in six batches, with each batch adding eight new songs.
Now, over a month later, Wave 1 of the Booster Course Pass has arrived with Update 2.0.0. As expected, this update brings new courses to the game for payers, and it prepares for new courses to play online (starting March 21st) along with several fixes. small mistake. In addition, Nintendo has released a launch trailer highlights eight new courses added to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe today.
As you can see in the trailer above, those courts are: Paris Promenade, Toad Circuit, Choco Mountain, Coconut Mall, Tokyo Blur, Shroom Ridge, Sky Garden, and Ninja Hideaway. Some of these Wave 1 courses are returning to favorites while others are new, having only been around since the mobile Mario Kart game, Mario Kart Tour.
Regarding what the 2.0.0 update does for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, here’s what’s new:
Support for DLC
- Now supports Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass (1:8 Wave courses)
- If someone in the lobby has a “Strengthening Card”, all players can choose one of the pass courses.
- This supports “Friends”, “Wireless Play” and “Play over LAN”.
- Starting March 21, you can choose a course from the Booster Course Pass in online play.
- Supports “Worldwide”, “Region” and “Tournament”.
- Even if a player does not own a “Course Boost Card”, they can play courses from the card at random.
Shared
- Shortened the time it takes for the Item Box to regenerate when stolen by someone else.
Issues have been fixed
- Fixed an issue where communication errors occurred when 12 people matched while playing online.
- You need to download the latest update data to play online.
- If you download the latest update data, you will not be able to do “Wireless Play” or “Play over LAN” with other players who are using data from the previous update.
- The update data contains fixes for gameplay improvement issues and other content not listed here.
- To download the update data, you need enough space on the system memory or the microSD Card.
