Mark Levinson No 5909 luxury headphones launched at CES 2022, more expensive than AirPods Max
The Mark Levinson No 5909 headphones were unveiled at CES 2022. According to the company, the premium device has a lightweight yet durable construction and features ‘Adaptive’ Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). The headset is equipped with 40mm beryllium-coated drivers and offers connectivity via Bluetooth v5.1. They have four beam-directing microphones with Intelligent Wind Adaptation for a clear calling experience. Headphones from the Harman-owned brand also claim a higher price tag, almost double that of the Apple AirPods Max.

The price of the Mark Levinson No 5909 headphones has been set at $999 (about Rs. 74,400). they are available for purchase from various online retailers in the United States. The headphones come in Pearl Black, Ice Pewter, and Radiant Red color options.

The Mark Levinson No 5909 headphones come with a premium leather strap and interchangeable leather ear cushions. There’s an anodized aluminum frame, and the earcups have an automotive-grade metallic paint. They are fitted with 40mm Beryllium coated drivers that are acoustically optimized for the ‘HARMAN Curve’ – the company claims to have years of research behind it.
The over-ear headphones feature three modes of Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation that allow the user to choose the amount of noise that comes in. There is an Ambient Awareness mode on the Mark Levinson No 5909 that can be used to talk to people without having to remove the headset. Customers also get four beam-driving microphones with Intelligent Wind Adaptation that is said to cancel out environmental noise when talking.
Premium Headphones offer personalized listening through the Mark Levinson Headset App. In terms of connectivity, the Mark Levinson No 5909 headset uses Bluetooth v5.1 with support for the AAC and aptX Adaptive codecs. They are High-Resolution Audio certified, support the LDAC audio codec, and have an audio response up to 40kHz, the company says.
Regarding the battery, the Mark Levinson No 5909 headphones are said to provide up to 34 hours of playtime on a single charge with ANC turned off. They are said to offer 30 hours of playtime with ANC enabled.
