Meghan Markle’s Red Outfit in Pictures With Prince Harry
In a newly released portrait series, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry shared a behind-the-scenes look at their recent trip to the UK. On October 3, photographer Misan Harriman posted two images of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex which he took earlier this month at the opening ceremony of the One Young World Summit in Manchester, England. For the occasion, the 41-year-old “Archetypes” host and mother-of-two wore one from the brand Another tomorrow: fiery flare pants made of merino wool and a matching long-sleeve shirt with vintage cuffs and a scarf that she drapes over her shoulders. Embracing the monochrome trend, Markle opted for head-to-toe red and a bold color palette that can hold a special meaning.
Over the years, red has become Markle’s obvious power color. In November 2021, Markle marked her red carpet return after relinquishing her royal role working in a red sweeping the floor Carolina Herrera’s Robe. In March 2020, as the Sussexes completed their royal duties at the Mountbatten Music Festival at the Royal Albert Hall in London, they collaborated in bright red suits: Prince Harry in his uniform crimson Royal Marines officer and Markle in the set bright red Safiyaa robe. Based on the timeline of events, could Markle be signaling that red is her right color in this new chapter of her life? Red often symbolizes action, energy, passion, and strength, so it made sense for her to choose a color to channel these themes into her wardrobe.
To no one’s surprise, since “Markle Sparkle,” the red blouse has sold out in all sizes, but it’s still available in a bunch of other colors. However, the red pants are still available in select quantities.
Markle wore an all-red outfit to bring a speech at the event. “My worldview has expanded exponentially seeing the global community through my children’s eyes,” she said in her comments. “And I would ask, ‘What kind of world is he going to adopt?’ and ‘What can we do, what can I do, to make it better?’ “
In another photo taken by Harriman, the Sussexes are pictured in black and white, holding hands and looking away from the camera. According to Harriman, who often collaborates with the couple, the snapshot is from “the moment before” the opening ceremony began.
