Member of Islamic extremist group arrested for murder of workers of Kerala RSS
Palakkad (Kerala):
An office worker of Popular Front of India (PFI) was arrested today in connection with the murder of an RSS employee in the Palakkad district of Kerala, police said here.
R District Sheriff Viswanadh told reporters here that the arrested activist was directly involved in the murder of A Sanjith at Mambaram in the county. Police say the other perpetrators will be arrested soon.
The position holder’s identity was not released as his identity parade had to be conducted as part of the investigation.
The victim’s wife said she was able to identify people who arrived in a car and killed her husband.
Police said Sanjith, 27, was broken into on November 15 while he was driving his wife to her workplace.
Earlier today, police said they had arrested three people.
The BJP and Sangh Parivar organizations have alleged that activists from the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), the political branch of India’s prominent Islamic Front (PFI) force, are behind the incident. kill people in broad daylight.
SDPI has denied the allegations.
Meanwhile, BJP State president K Surendran met Union Home Affairs Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi, seeking a National Investigation Agency (NIA) investigation into the murder.
