Mexico sacks many coaches from U20 team after investigation
Following an internal investigation, the Mexican Football Federation (FMF) fired a member of the coaching staff of the women’s national under-20 team.
Monday’s decision follows a request sent to FMF president Yon de Luisa on July 18 to review the disposition of the squad.
ESPN Mexico reported last Wednesday that head coach Maribel Dominguez and her staff had under consideration of a “serious” matter.

According to a statement issued by the FMF on Monday afternoon, investigators conducted interviews with more than 20 people, including stakeholders and individuals who may be aware of the complaint filed.
Although the FMF did not find “evidence or evidence of sexual harassment or abuse by any member of the national under-20 women’s team against its players,” Mexico’s federation noted that “found sufficient evidence of a lack of leadership and inappropriate behaviour. was against the values of teamwork, of members of the technical staff.”
“These members of the national under-20 women’s team have been clearly segregated,” the statement later added, which did not mention specific names.
Mexico women’s U17 national team coach Ana Galindo will now be in charge of the squad that will take part in the Women’s Under-20 World Cup in August. Monday’s statement from the FMF emphasized that Galindo will be up to the team to recombine. technical staff member was found to have “no evidence of any violations.”
