Michael Bolton helps launch US debut song contest
Jake’O, who used to work at his family’s cheese factory, sang for the state of Wisconsin. He sang his song “Feel Your Love”, which made some young people Elvis vibe, right down to Jake’O’s hair. We could hear young girls – and boys – shouting from here.
Own Mississippi Keyone Starrwho previously worked with a large manufacturer Mark Ronson, performed her song “Fire,” creating an upbeat, dynamic scene. Keyone has been a star for days and she has made us tired just looking at her.
Wyoming’s penultimate performance of the night Ryan Charles, who describes his music genre as “cowboy western rap”, obviously a thing! He performed the song “New Boot Goofin”, which had lyrics like “I’ll Never Let Them Change Me / The Rap Game” Brad Paisley. “It won’t be for everyone, but those who love it will really love it.
The smallest state that was saved in the end, was Rhode Island’s Hueston encapsulated on the first night of the test. Describe yourself as “if Adele, Chris Stapleton and Sons of Anarchy had a baby”, he performed “Held On Too Long”. Seated in a recliner, his emotional ballad about lost love serves as a powerful introduction to Snoop Dogg said it almost made him cry!
Finally, it’s time for the judges to automatically nominate their favorite performer to the next round.
The panel voted that the best was indeed saved in the end, sending Hueston straight into the semi-finals on April 25.
Next week, the remaining three spots of this group will be determined through a combination of judges’ and fans’ votes.
Find out who’s going to join Hueston — and meet a bunch of new competitors — when American Song Contest airs March 28 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
