Mike Tindall, Husband of Queen’s Granddaughter Zara Phillips, To Make Reality TV Debut on ‘I’m a Celebrity’

Mike TindallThe former England rugby team member who is married to the queen’s niece, Zara Phillips, is reportedly set to appear on a British primetime reality TV show.
British newspaper The Sun speak Tindall, 43, will next month join the cast of the British long-running TV show I’m a celebrity… Get me out of herewhich sees contestants isolated in the Australian jungle and encouraged to take on summaries, often involving bugs, to win food and other perks.
Tindall’s co-stars in the next season will include former pop star Boy George.
A source told The Sun: “It was a major coup. Mike has had a box seat for some of the most important moments in royal history in generations. He’s certainly reserved, but his sheer presence means that this series will be an absolute must-see.”
Tindall married Zara in 2011 and they have three children; Mia, 8, Lena, 4, and Lucas, 1.
Zara, daughter of Princess Annedid not hold a royal title, and neither did her children. Zara and her brother Peter Phillips have turned this to their advantage. They had never worked in the royal family and as such were able to pursue commercial opportunity with relatively little criticism, unlike Meghan and Harry or Sarah Ferguson.
Zara is an Olympic celebrity and has received a series of lucrative sponsorship deals. Mike has a successful podcast, “The Good, The Bad & The Rugby”, on which he occasionally discusses royal affairs.
Tindall remember to use the program revealed that his most recent child arrived “very quickly” and was born “on the bathroom floor.”
“The best thing about being at home is as soon as he’s wrapped in his skin, [we went] went straight downstairs, the TV room, played golf, and I said, ‘This is what you and I are doing,’ he said.
Speaking of his wife’s grandmother recently, he said: “Zara loves the queen more than anything. Their connection with horses, as with Princess Royal, they have a real connection to that. “
A spokesperson for the show told The Sun: “We will announce our closer transmission.”
