Mission: Impossible 7, 8 Release date delayed to July 2023, June 2024
Mission: Impossible fans will have to wait a little longer to see Tom Cruises character Ethan Hunt return to action. The highly anticipated movies of the actors Mission: Impossible 7 and Mission: Impossible 8 have been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Pictures of Paramount is postponing the release of two sequels in the long-running spy series.
Mission Impossible 7which was previously supposed to open on September 30, is now set to premiere on July 14, 2023. Mission Impossible 8, which was slated to open most recently on July 7, 2023, will instead move to June 28, 2024.
The seventh film, co-produced by Skydancewas originally scheduled to open on July 23, 2021, and has been postponed several times due to the changed public health situation.
Film production was also delayed due to COVID-19. The Mission: Impossible movies tend to be complicated to shoot because they’re packed with stunts and effects, with the crew trying to do as little green-screen work as possible. They also often fly from one foreign port to another (the latest films are shot in Italy, England and Poland, to name just a few).
“After careful consideration, Paramount Pictures and Skydance have decided to postpone the release date of Mission: Impossible 7 & 8 in light of delays caused by the ongoing pandemic. The new release date will be July 14, 2023 and May 28. 6 to 2024, respectively,” the companies said in a joint statement.
“We aim to give audiences an unrivaled theater experience,” the company added.
The next two films in the series will once again star in the lead Yacht as Ethan Hunt, an IMF agent with nine lives and a penchant for hanging airplanes, skyscrapers, mountains, and really any high-altitude building or projectile he can carry.

In addition to the upcoming Mission: Impossible movies, Cruise has another high-profile production with Paramount this year, Top Gun: Maverickin theaters May 27.
It was originally scheduled for release by Paramount Pictures on July 12, 2019, before being pushed into 2020 and beyond.
