Former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif feels seasoned beyond the rotation Ravichandran Ashwin should be played both home and away Test matches for the Indian team. Ashwin was not in the squad when India played England earlier this year in the Test series. But the right off-spinner crank performed brilliantly in the Test series that just ended with New Zealand. India beat New Zealand by 372 runs in the second test of a two-match series at Wankhede Stadium on Monday.
Ashwin is considered a Player of Series for his perfect performance.
Kaif said the cameramen need to be given credit and Ashwin has done “enough” to deserve it.

In the Test series, Ashwin overtook Harbhajan Singh to become the country’s third highest wicket scorer in Test cricket. Ashwin has so far had 30 5-goal streaks in his career.

Meanwhile, with this win, Team India has returned to the number 1 spot in the ICC Test leaderboard.
Victory over New Zealand also meant India ending the two-match series 1-0, and now Kohli’s side will travel to South Africa for three Tests and three ODIs, starting from December 26th.
