Mother-Daughter Spotted Snake Skin In Hotel Food; Internet Desi Shocked
Just imagine – you are eating your favorite meal in a restaurant and suddenly you discover a hair in your food. Won’t you scream out of disgust?! It’s disgusting to see only a hair in your food, what if you discover snake skin? Yes, you read it right! Recently, someone discovered snake skin in their food at a restaurant in Kerala and this incident shocked all desi lovers online. A customer is said to have found snake skin in her food delivery parcel from a hotel in the Nedumangadu area of Thiruvananthapuram, and the hotel was closed by authorities after the incident. Shared on Twitter, @Tushar_KN’s tweet states that the snake skin found in the newspaper was used to pack parottas.
The hotel in Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram was temporarily closed after a customer allegedly found a piece of packaged snake skin in her food. Snake skin was found in the newspaper used to pack parottas, after which food safety officials were alerted.

According to the Independent, a mother and daughter couple bought two pieces of parotta (a type of South Indian flatbread) and when their daughter finished eating, she discovered snake skin on the wrapper. The mother, Priya, reported the incident to police, who then directed her to Food Safety Officials. Food safety officer Arshitha Basheer reported that the hotel was operating in “bad” condition and that “The store was closed immediately and a cause notice was issued,” she added.
After investigation, officials said the snake skin in the newspaper was used for food packaging, not in food. The hotel’s license was revoked with Ms Basheer announcing that the restaurant had conducted business with the requested license and there was “nothing wrong” with the dish.
