MotoGP’s Marc Marquez says he’s fit to race Austin
AUSTIN, Texas – Six-time MotoGP champion Marc Marquez said Wednesday he has been medically tested to return to racing this weekend at the Grand Prix of the Americas after vision problems forced him to sidelined in the previous two races.
Marquez, who has missed most of the 2020 season due to injury, was hit hard during the warm-up for the Indonesian Grand Prix, leaving him with double vision. He missed that race and last week in Argentina.
Marquez announced on social networks he will race on Sunday at the Circuit of the Americaswhere the Repsol Honda racer has won the championship seven times since 2013.
Aprilia Racing’s Aleix Espargaro leads the standings after three races this season.
