Parents were surprised when they saw the question paper. Parent agency head Anish Jharjhare said that instead of asking such questions, schools should ask students about historical icons such as Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar and Chhatrapati Shivaji.
Mr Jharjhare said the school should be closed.
The district education officer said he was aware of the incident. Sanjiv Bhalerao, Khandwa district education official, said: “A clear notice of the cause will be given to the school. Based on the school’s response, appropriate action will be taken.”
The same test also had a question that asked students to name the dictator of North Korea, but the parents did not object.
