Naomi Asher promoted to VP, Songwriter Services & Neighbouring Rights at Sony Music Publishing UK
Music Publisher Sony The UK has promoted Naomi Asher as Vice President, Musician Services and Neighbor Rights.
According to a press release, in her enhanced role Asher will act as the ‘direct contact’ for SMP UK’s portfolio clients and musicians, and be responsible for expanding opportunities and promote the success of their songs both nationally and internationally.
Asher will also continue to oversee the UK company’s Neighborhood Rights division.
The CEO will remain based at the company’s London office, reports to SMP UK’s Co-Management Director David Ventura and Tim Major.
Since joining SMP in 2020The company says that Asher has played an important role in promoting Neighborhood initiatives and supporting the talent on its roster.
Prior to joining the company, she was the Director and President of Wixen Music UK Ltd., where she focused on Neighbor Rights.
As a co-founder of the Independent Alliance for Artists’ Rights (IAFAR), Asher is also an advocate for standardization and increased transparency for Neighborhood Rights.
Elsewhere at Sony Music Publishing UK, Shauni Caballero recently appoint as Senior A&R Director.
