Nominations are currently open for the 2023 edition of the Dubai World Cup meeting, set for Saturday, March 25 at Meydan Racecourse. Celebrating its 27th anniversary this year, the Dubai World Cup will offer $30.5 million in wallets for eight bet races.
In addition to the $6 million political event at the 2000 metres, supporting races include the G1 Longines Dubai Sheema Classic at the 2400 metres; G1 Dubai Golden Shaheen is located at 1200 meters above the dirt road; G1 Al Quoz Sprint over 1200 meters on grass; G2 Dubai Gold Cup distance 3200 meters on grass field; The 1900-meter UAE G2 Derby, which also gave the winner 100 GI Kentucky Derby points; The G2 Godolphin Mile is offered at 1600 meters on dirt roads; and G1 Dubai Kahayla Classic for purebred Arabs, over 2000 meters on dirt track.
