OnePlus Nord 2 5G allegedly booms again in India, user reports on Twitter
The OnePlus Nord 2 5G is said to have boomed again in India – just a few months after a similar series of cases surfaced online. One user took to Twitter to report the explosion. The phone is said to have completely blown up, rendering it unusable. The issue did not cause any harm to the users, although the affected OnePlus Nord 2 5G was clearly burned. The latest issue comes almost 5 months after another OnePlus Nord 2 5G allegedly exploded, causing serious burns to users.
Twitter user Lakshay Verma report that’s his brother OnePlus Nord 2 5G exploding in his hand while on the phone. Users in New Delhi who visited OnePlus service center in Connaught Place to try to fix the burnt phone, but the center allegedly refused to address the concerns.
The service center has appealed to affected users to recall the phone that exploded after holding it for two or three days, according to details provided by the Twitter user.
Twitter users last week shared some pictures for reference of explosion and burnt phone display through photo. The photos show the phone with a broken screen and removable frame.
However, the tweets bearing the original references were removed shortly after the incident received some information online on Wednesday. A video showing the phone in a fire condition is still available at the time of writing.

This is not the first time the OnePlus Nord 2 5G has been accused of exploding. Similar problems appeared last year. In one case, OnePlus even sent a legal notice to the user who accused the outburst of his OnePlus Nord 2 5G. The Chinese company also reported has compensated affected users in another case was reported in November.
Interestingly, in all cases previously reported by the press, affected users deleted tweets mentioning the problem as soon as they were brought to attention.
