Paris FW AW23 Street Style Trends
The last city on my fashion month calendar is Paris! Over the weeks, I’ve seen some great street styles that I can’t wait to try. But, street style Paris FW always has a special place in my heart. It’s a city that I often find myself returning to because of how they’ve been able to catch up on trends and really make it their own. Although the look may be more toned than other city street styles, the important thing is always in the details!!
Laid-back Mute Tones
Paris actually said chill out in a dopamine outfit and decided to tone it down. One color I see a lot in Paris FW is black! I wrote about this trending color a few weeks ago. Although Paris is controlling maximalism (however I like maximalism!), the important thing is that it never gets boring!! Some of the best street styles in relaxed tones are the use of menswear. Following this trend, I wore one of my favorite pieces – Acne studio tailor-made pants!! I just love the front pleats that give it a distinctive look compared to regular tailored pants. I’m embracing this laid-back tone trend if it means more menswear! – I can’t wait for the next season.
Practical Grunge
Start your grunge, because the year is getting harder!! There are many different grunge styles out there right now, from punk-grunge to indie-sleeze. However, the style that I identified in Paris FW is utilitarian-grunge! This is a mixture of motorbike (which I talked about is on trend in the NYFW – think motorcycle jackets) with dusty elements. For this trend, it looks like knee high boots are a must!!
One-tone outfit
In Paris FW, it’s less color mixing and more monochromatic outfits! Perhaps this is an evolution of the use of color. In the past, too much color matching was considered ‘outdated’. Still, it’s great to see you can really elevate your style by wearing a single color! Get ready to see more white, pink, green and black monochrome outfits! In fact, I wore an outfit with the only tones in Milan that I posted on my personal page. IG is here! What is your favorite street style trend that you saw at Paris FW?
